Alan J. Chang joined Bertrand, Fox & Elliot as an associate in 2011.  Mr. Chang currently practices in the areas of public entity defense and commercial litigation.  Prior to joining Bertrand, Fox & Elliot, Mr. Chang began his legal career at a Bay Area civil defense firm.

In 2005, Mr. Chang graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning his B.S. in Business Administration with a Minor in Technology & Management.  Mr. Chang then received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008.  While at Hastings, Mr. Chang was a Staff Editor for the Hastings Communications & Entertainment Law Journal.  He was also a competitor and student coach on the Hastings Moot Court Team, where he won numerous awards in oral and written advocacy, including state and national moot court championships.
