Kate Petersen is an associate in the firm.  Ms. Petersen currently practices in the areas of public entity defense and education law.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a firm specializing in insurance defense. 

Ms. Petersen graduated cum laude from San Diego State, with a B.A. in English and Political Science, and a minor in Spanish.  While at San Diego State, she was a member of Associated Students, and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained her Juris Doctor from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2008, where she was a member of the Hastings Race and Poverty Journal, participated in the Criminal Practice Clinic, and was the President of Association of Students for Kids.    Ms. Petersen has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 2008.
