Michael Zitani joined Bertrand, Fox, Elliot, Osman & Wenzel as an Associate in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at a large litigation firm in San Francisco, where he defended public entities against constitutional and personal injury actions. Before that, Mr. Zitani worked for a San Francisco nonprofit, defending tenants in landlord-tenant disputes.
Mr. Zitani graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University in 2014, earning a BS degree with a double major in International Affairs and Political Science, as well as a minor in Psychology. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 2017. While in law school, Mr. Zitani received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the Individual Representation Clinic, where he represented individuals appealing adverse disability determinations from county and federal agencies. During his third year of law school and the year after graduation, Mr. Zitani was also a Lawyers for America Fellow, working for the Berkeley City Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Zitani has been an active member of the State Bar of California since December 2017.
