Wilson Lau

Wilson Lau joined Bertrand, Fox, Elliot, Osman & Wenzel as an Associate in January 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lau worked at a major national litigation law firm, where he represented landowners, developers, and general contractors in a variety of construction-related personal injury matters. During this time, he also represented a major international corporation in handling complex tort matters involving multiple parties. Mr. Lau has also worked as in-house counsel for a major international insurance company, where he defended business owners, homeowners, and private individuals against various civil litigation matters including premises liability claims and negligence claims. In addition, Mr. Lau represented employers in worker’s compensation matters.

 

In 2009, Mr. Lau graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BA in Economics, and a minor in Psychology. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of San Francisco School of Law in 2015.  During law school, Mr. Lau was the Executive Editor of the Intellectual Law Bulletin, a senior staff editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review, and he was a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society.

 

During this time, Mr. Lau externed for the Honorable Garrett L. Wong at the San Francisco Superior Court, the Administrative Judges Division of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Legal Department of the United States Postal Service, the Worker’s Compensation Section of the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, and the Licensing Section of the California Attorney General’s Office.

 

Mr. Lau has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 2015.
